Police in England released surveillance video of a woman getting up from her wheelchair to take food off the shelf and hide it under her coat; a male accomplice was seen pushing her in the chair before and after the theft.
A woman in the UK was recently spotted getting up from her wheelchair to shoplift groceries.
In the surveillance video taken at the store, she appears seated and is pushed around by a male accomplice.
Eventually, she gets up to take merchandise off the shelf and hide it under her coat before later being seen pushed around in the chair again.
Video of the crime, which occurred on January 11th at the Marks & Spencer grocery store in Coventry, England, was released by the West Midlands police in the hopes of identifying the suspects.
According to investigators, the woman and her thieving partner took about $90 U.S. worth of packaged meat.
The incident reminded police of a character from the British cult series Little Britain named Andy Pipkin who is known for faking disability.
